Lanimer Champion 2008

Jack Quinn (Lanark Grammar School)

Fifteen year old Jack Quinn, from the Third Year at Lanark Grammar School, is this year's Lanimer Champion. He has a big brother, Martin, a little brother, Campbell, and a little sister, Molly. Jack plays football and admits to being a good goalkeeper. Like many, he would like to take up this role professionally, but has a career in Information Technology in his mind, just in case.

Jack is making Lanimer history this year, not only through being included among the brochure principals for the first time, but also being photographed on horseback. When he and his mother, Julie, found out this was going to happen it was hard to tell who was more excited! We hope you will agree this move has been a good idea and that Jack has proved to be a great choice with whom to set this precedent.

Our thanks go to Ex-Lord Cornet Danny McGuinness and his daughter Vicky, who gave their time to help us set up the photograph. Nor would we wish to forget 'Poppy', their adorable mare, who made everyone welcome and was a real 'lady' on the day.
