LANARK LANIMER DAY
An ancient celebration held within the Royal Burgh of Lanark on the Thursday between the Sixth and Twelfth days of June annually since the year 1140.

Lee Morrison (Lanark Grammar School)

The Lanimer Champion for 2009 is a third year pupil at Lanark Grammar School and a former pupil at the Robert Owen Memorial Primary School. His sister Linzi began the family tradition as a Lady in Waiting in the Lanimer Court of 2001. Lee is an experienced member of the Court, having been an Outrider, Sceptre Bearer and Proclamation Bearer. His mum Sharon and Dad George are both looking forward to seeing Lee on horseback on Lanimer Day. Lee enjoys football and has recently become a junior member of Lanark Golf Club. Lee's ambition is to join the RAF and eventually become a pilot.
