The Ladies ...

Miss Violet Brown, Eriyal, Bonnington Avenue, assumed responsibilities of " Wardrobe Mistress" to the Court characters three years ago and has diligently carried out her duties of ensuring that the costumes are ready for the great occasion. Miss Brown has herself sponsored many outstanding entries in past processions.
Mrs Andrew Jamieson, 1 Wellington Terrace, came to Lanark 7 years ago and became involved in the instruction of the Lanimer Queen and her Court in deportment and Court dances. Mrs Jamieson has discharged this duty regularly for the past 5 years and for the past 6 years she has trained the dancers and produced the country dancing at the Cross on Monday night prior to the shifting of the Standard.
Mrs Elsie W. Hendrie, 3 Ridgepark Drive, has been concerned with the training of the Queen's Court in all aspects of procedure and deportment and for the Court Dances at the Reception for some 18 years being latterly associated with Mrs Jamieson in this important feature of the Lanimer preparations. Mrs Hendrie crowned the Queen in 1966.
