LANARK LANIMER DAY
An ancient celebration held within the Royal Burgh of Lanark on the Thursday between the Sixth and Twelfth days of June annually since the year 1140.
 

Provost's Message

Yet again it is my privilege and pleasure to write a foreword to this Lanimer Brochure.

The "Wind of Change" is blowing in local government affairs but it is my earnest hope that "The Lanimers" will always be celebrated with the enthusiasm we know so well. Our festival is known far and wide and we are justly proud of it.

To all who are new to our Royal and Ancient Burgh, to all who have returned to join us, to absent friends and to each and every one, I wish you all a happy and successful Lanimer Week.
