LANARK LANIMER DAY
An ancient celebration held within the Royal Burgh of Lanark on the Thursday between the Sixth and Twelfth days of June annually since the year 1140.

Damian Gormley. Stanmore House School Pupil

Eleven year old Damian Gormley, is this year's Stanmore pupil who will be presenting the bouquet on Monday evening to Mrs Aileen Wilson, the wife of this year's Lord Cornet.

At school he likes to relax with his classmates during regular sessions in the hydrotherapy pool and also the sensory room. He loves pressing the switches to operate the light simulation equipment and thoroughly enjoys his rebound therapy on the trampoline.

Damian has taken part in previous Lanimer processions as his family are keen Lanimer enthusiasts. They will be there to see him on Monday evening and also on Thursday when he will be taking his place in the procession with his fellow pupils from Stanmore School.
