Mary Jo Weir, Stanmore School Pupil

Mary Jo who will be 16 in September, shares a bungalow at the school with another two girls and two boys. She is a classroom helper and I was told that she has a very caring nature and likes to look after everyone who lives with her. Previously she has taken part in the school Lanimer entries.

At school she enjoys swimming in the pool and going on outings. In the past she has visited Deep Sea World and attended pop concerts and many events which have been held locally. 'Westlife' is her favourite boy hand but she said that she was very disappointed when a concert she was going to featuring 'Blue', was cancelled.

One of her favourite pastimes is shopping and she is really excited about going to look for her Monday night outfit. A member of staff said that Mary Jo is a 'Shopping Diva' and Mary Jo agreed.

She is looking forward to presenting the bouquet on Monday night to Mrs Anne Portman who is acting as hostess to Tom Waddell, this year's Lord Cornet.
