LANARK LANIMER DAY
An ancient celebration held within the Royal Burgh of Lanark on the Thursday between the Sixth and Twelfth days of June annually since the year 1140.

MILLAR THOMAS STOODART, "Augusta", 30 Cleghorn Road, Lanark - A Local Government Officer employed by Strathclyde Regional Council, Roads Dept. Millar has been involved in the local life of Lanark for a number of years and as a member of the Lanimer Committee for 12 years is at present Secretary of the Sports Committee. He is Vice-President of Lanark Y.M.C.A. and also an executive member of the National Y.M.C.A. He is also a member of Lanark Golf Club. His father was Lord Cornet in 1948.
