An ancient celebration held within the Royal Burgh of Lanark on the Thursday between the Sixth and Twelfth days of June annually since the year 1140.

	IAN HENDERSON McLAUCHLAN, 16 Potters Wynd, Lanark, is this year's Lord Cornet. Ian, a Senior Mechanical Engineer with Burroughs Machines in Livingston, has been an active member of the Lanimer Committee for over 15 years and for the last 6 years has been Joint Procession Convener with particular responsibility for the Lanimer Queen's Court. He is a married man with one daughter (Susan aged 7). He is an Elder and Manager of Cairns Church.
