LANARK LANIMER DAY
An ancient celebration held within the Royal Burgh of Lanark on the Thursday between the Sixth and Twelfth days of June annually since the year 1140.

	This year's Lord Cornet is solicitor JOHN ARMSTRONG of Eastmore, Nemphlar. A Lanarkian, he is a past chairman of the Round Table, a member of the Guildry, orchestral director of the Upper Clyde Operatic Society, and a member of the Lanimer Committee. A keen horseman, he will be well prepared for a strenuous Lanimer week.
