LANARK LANIMER DAY
An ancient celebration held within the Royal Burgh of Lanark on the Thursday between the Sixth and Twelfth days of June annually since the year 1140.

KEVIN CARTY on Ballantrae. The owner of "Route 6", he has been thirteen years in Lanark. He is very active in Church and Burgh affairs:- the St. Vincent de Paul Society, Lanark Rotary, Lanark Guildry, the Arthritic and Rheumatic Council, Smyllum Rovers Boys Football Club and the Lanimer Committee in which he is Joint-Convener of the Sports Committee.
