MR. IAN A. GRAY, a thirty-seven year old bachelor, Ian is Lanark born and bred, the son of John Gray and the late Dorothy K. Gray (Haynes) for many years Convener of the Brochure Committee. Ian is Development Manager of T.S.B. Asset Finance in Glasgow and is the Lanimer Committee's own captive computer genius. He joined the Lanimer Committee at 17 and later served as Treasurer for five years, moving from that to Convener of the Entertainments Committee. He then examined ways of raising money to finance Lanimers. He tried various lotteries, culminating in the highly successful Silver Club, currently with over 3,400 members, a tremendous achievement. With less dignity but more fun, he was for years a member of one of the popular humorous entries in the Procession. Lanimers apart, he was heavily involved in the Y.M.C.A. for thirteen years, and, every year he is in charge of stage lighting for the Pantomime Club.
