An ancient celebration held within the Royal Burgh of Lanark on the Thursday between the Sixth and Twelfth days of June annually since the year 1140.

A Lanarkian born and bred, ROBERT KENNEDY is married with two children and runs a sound system business in Lanark. He has been a member of the Lanimer Committee for seventeen years for fifteen of which he was official commentator. He served a long time on the Sports Committee and then became treasurer of the Silver Club. With wider interests, he is in the Guildry and Lanark Rotary Club. He is involved in the Panto Club and was in he cast of their first show. As a child, he was twice in the Lanimer Court as Sceptre Bearer and as Crown Bearer.
