EDWIN GRAHAM is the 1997 Lord Cornet. The honour is well deserved, he being a very hard-working member of the Lanimer Committee. His special remit is Convener-Procession. In other words he master-minds and controls the smooth-running of the procession, made slightly easier with walkie-talkies. His is a daunting task. And he also helps in every other Lanimer activity. Further, he is a member of the Guildry and a committee member of the Lanark Arthritic and Rheumatic Council. He has reached the position of Cornet - a well deserved honour, via two appearances in the court as Outrider and as Champion when Beth Frood was Queen. His Provost great-grandfather would be proud of him.
