Sashing Lady 2005 Selected

Sashing Lady

This year's Lanimer Sashing Lady is to be Mrs Ruby Anderson of Bankhead Terrace, Lanark.

Ruby, the catering manager at New Lanark Primary School, comes from a fine Lanimer heritage with both her daughters serving as Maids in past courts as well as her granddaughter. Her husband also served as the Sword-Bearer in the court many years ago.

Ruby says she is "over the moon" about being chosen to sash the new Cornet, Tom Waddell, on Monday, June 6 - and says she has already bought her special hat for the occasion!
