Jersey Battle of Flowers Festival

In early August, Ex-Lord Cornets Robert Kirkhope, Edwin Graham and Jim Forrest, accompanied by Jan Kirkhope, Carolyn Graham and Jennifer Johnstone, visited Jersey to spectate at the 2007 Battle of Flowers Festival.

While there, they received an invitation from The Constable of St Helier Mr Simon Crowcroft and The Chairman of the Battle of Flowers Association Mr Tony Perkins to attend a Vin d'Honneur at the Town Hall in St Helier.

During the visit to Jersey, Joint Convenor of the Lanimer Silver Club Committee Jennifer Johnstone took the opportunity to present Steve Bouchard with his £1,000 cheque from the draw made on Marches Night 2007.

Steve and Lynn Bouchard from St Laurence, Jersey are well known to many Lanarkians. Steve has been a member of the Optimists Club for over 32 years and both are heavily involved in the Battle of Flowers Festival.

Steve and Lynn were Procession Judges during Lanimers 2003 and 2004.
