Sad News – Ex Lord Cornet Joe Lambie

It is with great sadness that The Lord Cornets’ Club has to advise that Ex Lord Cornet Joe Lambie, Lord Cornet in 1970, passed away this morning, at the age of 104!

Once funeral arrangements are known, the relevant details will be provided.

Our thoughts are with Joe’s family at this sad time.

Crowning Lady 2025 Selected

The Lanark Lanimer Committee is delighted to announce that May Dickman has been selected as the Crowning Lady for 2025.

May will crown Lanimer Queen Maisey Talbot on Lanimer Day, Thursday 12th June.

Sad News – Vena Kelly

It is with great sadness that the Lanark Lanimer Committee have to announce that Vena Kelly, who was selected as Crowning Lady in 1973 to crown Lanimer Queen Ruth Cairns, passed away earlier this week.

Lanimer Queen Elect 2025 Selected

The Lanimer Committee are delighted to announce that Maisey Talbot is our Lanimer Queen Elect for 2025.

Maisey is from Lanark Grammar School. Maisey is part of Lanark Panto Juniors. She enjoys being with her friends and going shopping.

We wish her a very happy Lanimers!


Lord Cornet Elect 2025

Lord Cornet Elect Edward Pringle is a former Beaver Scout Leader with 2nd Lanark Scouts, through which he was first introduced to Lanimer life by supporting the Lowland Games, a connection further deepened by his current role on the Lanimer Committee as Castlebank Convenor.

He has worked with children and young people as a Pupil Support Assistant at Lanark Grammar School, and now at St Mary’s Primary School.

He has ridden throughout the Borders as part of the Lanark Riding Association.

He has also had fun designing and participating in many Lanimer Processions with The Kilninie Club – Captain Hook being a favourite character.

We would like to wish Edward and his family a very Happy Lanimers!
