Due to the current closure of Robert Owen, their representatives were drawn privately in front of witnesses. The school were then informed and all parents and guardians contacted. All have accepted.
Due to a shortfall of boys at other schools, we have one outstanding position which will be filled from Robert Owen in the coming days when the school fully reopens to senior pupils.


Selection of Flower Bearer 2026

We are thrilled to announce that the Flower Bearer for 2026 is Eloise Kelly from Stanmore House School.

Eloise is described as a mischievous girl who loves a laugh and playing pranks on people.

She also loves Disney, soft toys and cuddles.

Selection of Lanimer Queen’s Champion 2026

The Lanimer Committee are delighted to announce that our Queen’s Champion for 2026 is Daryl Faulds from Lanark Grammar School.

Daryl was 2nd Lord last year and likes playing football with Kirkfield Sky Blues.

His favourite school subject is P.E, and he’s looking forward to the year ahead!

Selection of Lanimer Queen Elect 2026

The Lanimer Committee are delighted to announce that our Lanimer Queen Elect for 2026 from St Mary’s Primary School is Ayda Prentice.

Ayda loves to horse ride, she is part of Lanark Pipe band, playing the tenor drum. Ayda, enjoys spending time with her friends. She is delighted to be selected to be Lanimer Queen and is looking forward to having a fantastic year.

The Lord Cornets’ Club and the Lanark Lanimer Committee are delighted to announce that Karl Stewart has been selected as the Lord Cornet Elect for 2026.

Sad News – Ex Lord Cornet Millar T Stoddart

It is with great sadness that The Lord Cornets’ Club have to announce that Ex Lord Cornet Millar T Stoddart, Lord Cornet in 1979, passed away last night.

Once funeral arrangements are known, the relevant details will be provided.

Our thoughts are with Moira, Graeme, Gillian, Fiona and their families at this sad time.

Lanimer Illuminated Parade, Friday 28 November 2025

Starts at 6:30pm from Ladyacre Road

Join us for a magical evening as the Lanimer Illuminated Parade lights up Lanark!

Local community groups and Lanimer entrants will come together to support Late Night Lanark, bringing warmth, joy, and sparkle to a chilly November night.

Expect dazzling displays, festive cheer, and a wonderful celebration of our town spirit.

Come out and support local shops, parade participants, and community groups.

Lanimer Week 2025 – Equestrian Registration

The Lord Cornets’ Club have announced that registration for all Equestrian Events of Lanimer Week 2025 is now OPEN!

Registration is mandatory and early sign up would be appreciated.

Lanimer Community Workshop Official Opening

Tomorrow afternoon at 1.30pm, Lanimer Queen Lacey Steele and Lanimer Queen Elect Maisey Talbot will officially open the Lanimer Community Workshop at Lanark Moor Country Park.

This fabulous building has been constructed by South Lanarkshire Council and has now been leased to the Lanimer Committee to be a new hub for all our Lanimer activity.

The building will also be a new home for a number of our Lanimer entrants to construct their fabulous Lanimer Lorries, as well as a space for other groups to work on community projects.

If you would like to see the new building, please pop along tomorrow for our opening ceremony and have a tour round.
