Lanimer Winter Parade

It’s just a little over 2 weeks until our Lanimer Winter Parade at 6.30pm on the 25th of November as part of the Late Night Lanark shopping event.

We are pleased to announce that this years parade will be bigger than ever – with 7 of our Lanimer Sponsors showcasing their 2016 entries in our illuminated parade.

Musical entertainment will be provided by Lanark and District Pipe Band and we are pleased to announce that we will also be joined by Bathgate Brass Band.

Our 2016 Lord Cornet Gordon Jess will be also be joining the parade on horseback with some of his Ex Lord Cornet supporters.

There will also be an appearance of some special Seasonal guests courtesy of Goudlings Winter Wonderland!

Lanimer Silver Club

The Lanimer Silver Club is one of the main sources of revenue for our annual Lanimer festivities and is a great way to support our historic celebrations.

With cash prize draws every month and extra special £1,000 draws at Christmas and Lanimers – it is a great club to be part of.

You can join the Lanimer Silver Club at the link below – or if you are already a member you can renew your £10 annual membership here too. Memberships also make a perfect gift for friends and family.

The next special £1,000 draw will take place at the Christmas Market / Lights switch on event in Lanark High Street on the 19th November at 4pm.

Lanimer Illuminated Winter Parade

Come along to see our spectacular 2016 Lanimer illuminated winter parade on the 25th November.

Part of the ‘Late Night Lanark’ shopping event – this years parade will be led by our Lanimer Queen Morgan Shillan will include 7 of our Lanimer entrants who will be accompanied with music from the Lanark & District Pipe Band.

Last years event was a great success and the illumintaed lanimer lorries were fantastic! Why not take the oppotunity to support our local shops, a number of whom will have special offers on for the event.

Coalburn Silver Band

Coalburn Silver Band, who appear in our Morning Procession and Evening Spectacular every Lanimer Week, will be in concert on Thursday 8 September at Woodpark Primary School, Lesmahagow.

The band will be performing ‘Images for Brass’ by Stephen Bulla, the 2nd Section test piece chosen for the National Championships in Cheltenham taking place on Saturday 17 September.

The concert starting at 7.30pm will also feature the Coalburn Bronze Band and local vocalists Neve Crooks and Skye Watson.

Entry is £5 on the door and there is free entry for all primary school pupils.
